PROFILE

Pianist, composer, arranger, music designer, and musical director with 30+ years of experience in teaching Composition, Harmony, Counterpoint, Analysis, and Orchestration. Planned and taught curricula for university, high school, and elementary students of music. Has taught workshops and lectures on popular music, avant-garde music, and electronic music at places such as the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, the Southern Methodist University of Dallas, Texas; Casa de las Americas in Havana, Cuba, and Higher Institute of Arts, in Havana, Cuba. Founder, along with Maestro Juan Blanco (pioneer of electronic music in Cuba) of the first International Festival of Electroacoustic Music Primavera en Varadero (Spring in Varadero Beach Resort). Has composed symphonic, chamber, choral, and incidental music for television, dance and theater, as well as scores for film in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Lebanon and Germany. Member of the General Society of Authors and Publishers of Spain.

  • Created the project for soundtracks within the company, a new modality in musical creation based on ambient music with marked reception levels and objectives.
  • Designed soundtrack spaces adapted to the client’s needs.
  • Proved successful working within tight deadlines and a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Composed scores for corporate videos and advertising campaigns for different clients both in Spain and other countries.
